Chris Gauthier-Dickey, associate professor and chair of the Department of Computer Science, will explore DU’s game development degrees, delving into how these programs blend creativity with technical skills to shape the future of gaming, how they engage with humane games, and how they incorporate DEI issues into the classrooms. He will offer insight into games research from a computer science perspective, highlighting the methodologies and technological advancements that are driving research forward in games.
Michael Schulze, teaching associate professor in the Lamont School of Music, will discuss the current state of immersive audio, including both symmetrical systems and Dolby ATMOS, as applied to both music production and game audio.
