Grow
Growing a Diverse Faculty
Hiring exists in an ecology that goes beyond the search committee to include department and college leadership as well as university policies and climate. MERISTEM Grow, in collaboration with Develop and Heal, takes a holistic approach to improving the recruitment and hiring of historically excluded faculty (HEF). Hiring faculty from a variety of social groups is an important step, and one that must be supported with efforts to retain and promote those faculty and create a climate in which those faculty can thrive. Because of this, Grow’s success is tied to the work of the Develop and Heal groups.

Equitable Hiring Resources
Search Committee Training
DU requires all search committees to take a training developed by the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The training is one part of the Division’s efforts to help hiring managers conduct fair search processes that include a large and diverse pool of applicants.
