DU MERISTEM Integral Part of Colorado ADVANCE Collaborative (COACO)

Last fall, DU MERISTEM founded the Colorado ADVANCE Collaborative (COACO), a coalition of various Colorado universities (DU, UC-Boulder, CSU, UCCS, and MSU) with active NSF ADVANCE grants aimed at increasing the representation and advancement of women in STEM careers. DU has hosted the first two meetings, via zoom on Sept 19, 2023 and in-person on December 7, 2023.  The group is working together to develop a possible NSF ADVANCE Partnership Grant, designed to help facilitate the broader adaptation of gender equity and systemic change strategies.  We have another zoom meeting scheduled for March 22, 2024, where we will discuss a focus for the Partnership Grant and the possibility of an NSF Conference Grant.
