Meristem spring celebration

The second-year celebration hosted by the Provost and DU MERISTEM brought together collaborators from across campus including admin, faculty, and staff.

More than 50 faculty, staff, and students joined DU MERISTEM in the Olin Rotunda on Friday, May 3, 2024, to learn more about the achievements of the NSF ADVANCE grant-funded program and two of its initiatives: DU-HEAL and DU-DEVELOP. In addition, MERISTEM presented a new cross-institutional initiative with four other Colorado universities: the Colorado ADVANCE Collaborative (COACo). This innovative group has come together to share resources to increase recruitment, retention, and promotion of women, especially women of color, and other historically excluded faculty in STEM among Colorado institutions of higher learning.

MERISTEM would like to give a special thanks to The Latinx Center, Ritchie School of Engineering & Computer Science, and the College of Natural Science & Mathematics for sponsoring the event and to the woman-owned Prieto’s Catering for providing the delicious brunch, dessert, and coffee.
