Magnetism and Magnetic Devices
Xin Fan
Professor Xin Fan's condensed-matter research is in the area of magnetism and magnetic devices.
His work includes:
- investigating spin transport in non-magnetic and magnetic metals and heterostructures;
- understanding the impact of spin-orbit coupling on photon-electron interactions at interfaces;
- and designing microwave devices based on magnetic dynamics.
The studies are facilitated using unique electrical, microwave and optical techniques.
