Cell biologists investigate the structure and function of cells, membranes and tissues at both the microscopic and organismal scale. Through research, we aim to better understand molecular processes in the areas of neuroscience, cell signaling, virology, developmental biology, genetics, molecular evolution and molecular forensics.

Using sophisticated instrumentation in DNA detection and sequencing, super-resolution microscopy and mass spectroscopy, our faculty is leading breakthrough research across these disciplines.
